Zack Thompson joined the firm in 2016. His principal areas of practice include professional malpractice, insurance defense, cooperatives and utilities, and business litigation. He is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Alabama.
Zack is a lifelong Georgia resident, graduating from Newnan High School in 2009 and from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a B.A. in English. Zack then graduated from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2016.
In law school, Zack was a member and an Associate Legislation Editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. While on law review, Zack authored Providing Fair Relief in Georgia Dispossessory Proceedings, 32 Ga. St. U. L. Rev. 1003 (2016), and co-authored the legislative review of HB 1, Georgia’s 2015 medical marijuana bill, 32 Ga. St. U. L. Rev. 153 (2015). Zack was a 2015 extern in the Georgia Supreme Court with the Honorable Presiding Justice P. Harris Hines and graduated with highest pro bono distinction. Zack was also an Urban Fellow in Georgia State Law’s Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth and an officer of Georgia State’s Federalist Society chapter. Zack graduated cum laude and in the top 20% of his graduating class.
