<p>Mrs. Amy Velasquez joined the firm in 2009. &nbsp;Her practice primarily involves commercial litigation, local government, and professional malpractice. She graduated&nbsp;<em>summa cum laude</em>&nbsp;from the University of West Georgia in 2006, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with minors in Spanish and Political Science. &nbsp;While at West Georgia, Mrs. Velasquez was a member of the International Foreign Language Honor Society, an Ingram Scholar, a student research assistant and a tutor for the Excel Center. In June of 2009, Mrs. Velasquez graduated&nbsp;<em>cum laude</em>&nbsp;from Georgia State University&rsquo;s College of Law. During law school, she clerked for the Honorable Judge W. O&rsquo;Neal Dettmering at the State Court of Douglas County. &nbsp;She also completed an externship with the Office of the Attorney General. &nbsp;She was the recipient of highest honors in Estate Taxation and graduated with Pro Bono Highest Distinction with over 150 hours of pro bono service during law school. &nbsp;Mrs. Velasquez is fluent in Spanish.&nbsp; Mrs. Velasquez is married to Adolfo Velasquez, and they reside in Carrollton. &nbsp;She is the daughter of Helen Rankin of Carrollton and Gary King of Stagecoach, Nevada, and the granddaughter of Janet Stoner of Clymer, Pennsylvania and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Roach of Poulsbo, Washington.</p>

<p>Ms. Rebecca Dobras, from Roswell, Georgia, also joined the firm as an Associate in November 2009.&nbsp; Her principal area of practice is Family Law. &nbsp;In 2006, Ms. Dobras graduated&nbsp;<em>magna cum laude</em>&nbsp;with honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, where she was a Presidential Scholar and a member of the Dean&rsquo;s List and Phi Beta Kappa.&nbsp; While at the University of Georgia, Ms. Dobras founded the University of Georgia Synchronized Swimming Club, and led the team to the Synchronized Swimming Collegiate Nationals in 2004. &nbsp;Ms. Dobras received her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2009, graduating&nbsp;<em>cum laude</em>.&nbsp; While in law school, Ms. Dobras was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and had a paper on the United Nations published in the Journal.&nbsp; She also completed an internship with the Ministry of Legal Affairs of Guyana in Georgetown, Guyana and clerked for Judge David Sweat, Superior Court Judge of Athens-Clarke County.&nbsp; Ms. Dobras currently resides in Douglasville, Georgia.&nbsp; Ms. Dobras is the daughter of Mr. Thomas Dobras and Mrs. Jeanne Dobras of Roswell, Georgia.&nbsp;</p>
